Windows Live Messenger (mostly known as MSN Messenger) is the most popular instant messaging software in the world. Besides online chatting, we can send a message to the mobile device of our MSN buddy if that buddy has already configured his MSN Mobile account with his Wireless Service provider. 
But still there are some drawbacks in this MSN Mobile Messaging Service. First, MSN only supports a few wireless service provider and Second, those wireless serivce providers cut your mobile credit whenever a message is received from your MSN buddy thorugh MSN Messenger. But, you even can use your any email account inbox as the receiver of MSN Mobile Messaging Service. As a result, whenever any of your MSN buddy sends a message to your mobile device, you will receive an email in your inbox containing that message instead of your mobile device. But for this, at first you have to sign up for a MSN Mobile Account with any of your email address.And you can do it very easily by following these steps :

- Go to "Tools > Options > Phone" in the MSN Messenger.
- Click on the "Mobile Settings" and a MSN Mobile page will be popped up.
- Click on the "Join Now" button in the "Get MSN in your mobile phone".
- Now choose "Other" as your "Wireless service provider".
- Type your email address (for example in my case: fmshaon@gmail.com) in the "Mobile Address" field and then click "next" button.
- Select "I have read and agree to the pricing and terms of use" and click "Next" button.
- Now open a new window in your browser, check your email account you have just mentioned as your mobile address and you are supposed to get a confirmation code there from MSN Mobile.
- Copy the confirmation code and paste it in the "Confirmation Code" field. Select "Next" button.
- Then you will be redirected to a new page and then select "Done" button to complete the registration process!!
